An art update

So this is in a new format. Actually, this is the first time I've ever used this program.
Pretty neat program though. Paint BBS it's called.

Oh, if you wanna see my process, (*Thinks that is awesome*) check this out:

EDIT: Ok, I can't find a link that leads directly to the animation process, but if you go to that one and then scroll down until you see my picture adn click animation you can.

Don't worry, if you don't care enough to do that, that's perfectly fine. I'll tell you a secret: "I'll never know." =D

Late night revelations

I made browies the other night....more like yesterday morning because they didn't get done until 1am. I followed a recipe but I added like an extra cup of chocolate chips so they are really really really double double chocolate brownies. So good. I fell asleep waiting for them too cool and woke up at like 2am. I then put them away, went to bed, and didn't wake up for 12 hours. Gah! I'm crazy!

I'm also starting work on my "halloween" costume. I don't really celebrate halloween, (Actually, I might go into that at a later time....) but our bible quiz team always has a dress up party in late October and it's alway lots of fun. Plus, it's an excuse to make a fun costume. =D
Anyway, I'm going as Toph from Avatar. Here's a picture of what she looks like. She's a little blind earthbender and she's totally awesome! I know what you're probably thinking: "It's only July! Why are you talking about October, Kaitie?" Well, this is going to be my first ever sewing project and I want it to come out good. I was up late the other night drawing sketches of the costume and looking for clothing patterns online. It's been a blast so far and I haven't even started sewing yet.

On a side note, we watched "My Neighbor Totoro" last night. (Mostly called just Totoro.) Anyone who has seen that before gets 25 cool points. It's such a great funny and happy movie. I love it. I hadn't seen it for a long time but I pulled it out today. I love Myazaki films!

Drawings

I started a deviant art account so it'd be easier for people to see and comment on my drawings. I love being critiqued and don't mind if you have something negitive to say about a drawing. Just so long as you're not nasty about it. I got some of my Avatar fan-art up there. Have fun.

Water, Earth, Fire, Wind....

Time to be nerdy. =D

Lately I've been obsessed with Avatar: The last Airbender. I watch it almost every day and am excited when a new episode is going to be on. I've been really intrested in the art of the show too. It almost looks like a Japanese Anime, but it is indeed American. The whole thing facinates me and I love drawing the charaters. (I'll try to get my sketches up shortly.) Yeah, I've been getting screenshots online and drawing all day. My whole family is sick and I have nothing else to do.

In other news, Highschool Musical was on Disney channel tonight and I finally got it taped. Yay me!

In still other news, I'm going to a dinner theater tomorrow night with Kaelyn. Digging for gold I believe it's called. Anyway, it'll be fun because I get to hang out with Kaelyn for like 5 hours before the show. Fun, fun.

ok, now I'm bored,

Faith like a child

God loves you. He loves you so much he gave his only son to die on the cross for you. Maybe you've heard that over and over, but did you ever think about it? This week I had 2 5-day clubs and the second one was all preschoolers. I was teaching a bible lesson and I got a picture of Jesus on the cross. He had a crown of thorns, blood was pouring out his side, and it showed the nails in his hands. These 5 year olds were so engrossed in this picture. It seemed to draw them like a magnet. Suddenly I had 4 little children sitting less then a foot away from me asking me questions about the picture: "What's on his head?" "Did he get teared?" "how did the blood get all the way to his pants?" and the biggest one: "Did it hurt Jesus?"

You know, that question really got me thinking. I told them: "Yes, it did. But he wanted to be hurt and die so you could be saved." What an amazing thing God did for us! I mean, how many times have we heard that Jesus died and not thought about his suffering. There are movies that show us how it might've been. But I think nothing could really show us how much he suffered. It's awesome to think that he willingly gave up his own life for the wrong things we've done.

Right next to that picture was one of the empty tomb and I told them how Jesus didn't stay dead. He's alive and He loves you! Tell someone. Isn't that the most wonderful news you've ever heard? Sometimes I feel like shouting it from the highest mountain; "Jesus loves me! and he loves you too!" The bible says: "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."(Romans 10:13) 5 young children called on His name and joined God's family this week through our club. I'm not saying that to be boastful or prideful. But I want everyone to know how awesome God is. Prasie him for what he has done!

I'll leave you with that to think about.

The weekend of parties and fun

This weekend was awesome! Friday we went to the Mull's for a game night and I went swimming in the lake with my clothes on. Brilliant idea. Rachel and I had to wear Mrs. Mull's clothes while ours dried. Game night was great though. We sang lots of accapella and had a grand old time. Yes, Friday was good.

Well, earlier in the week, we had gone to Cedar river with our friends the Thompsons and they suggested that we throw a party on account of becca going away-yes, more about that later. We thought it was an excellent idea and started planning. We invited everyone pretty much the day before. A little advice; Don't do that. =)
Luckily people came and we had a big barbecue. Becky was able to come out too and she spent the night. What fun! Next morning was good. I showed Becky everything you did and didn't need to know about preparing the coffee, table and communion for our church. After lunch, Mom, Dad, Becky, becca and I hopped in the car on our way to drop off Becky and go to Indianola to meet with Jeremy's family. When we got there I was practically falling asleep, but I did manage to finish reading the voyage of the dawn treader while they talked in the other room. I really like Jeremy's parents. They're lots of fun. Anyway, after that we stopped for chinese food at Safeway and decieded to take the ferry home. More fun!
That was the weekend. Now, onto today:This morning I was awakened by becca and mom talking in my bedroom and when they realized I was awake, they asked me if I wanted to go run some errands with them. I figured it would be better then hanging at home with the boys and I proceded to get ready. In the car we discovered the rumblies in our tumblies and chose to eat at IHOP. Yum-o! I love IHOP. I can't remember the last time I ate there. *back from rambling*
Shopped some at Wal*mart and Sam's club and finally went home. You see, for some time now becca has been planning to move up to Bremerton to go to school and deiceded to change the day and move this afternoon. Mom agreed and she packed up the remainder of her stuff and left.

I now have my own room. For the first time in 13 years, I have my own room. Ahhhhhhh. So nice. I went right to work putting my books out and bringing a table in and placing my things around. It's so weird knowing that it's all mine. The closet is only half full and the drawers are mostly empty. At least she left me the piano and two of the guitars.

Now I'm sitting in my room, listening to Fiddler on the roof and helping my mom with the sewing. Life is good. =)

Edit: While Becky was with us we went and saw Superman returns. The special effects were sweet. The plot was lacking. That is all I'm going to say.
